Flanked by the majestic Simonsberg Mountain range, Santè Winelands Hotel & Wellness Centre combines a five-star deluxe hotel with an award-winning wellness centre in the heart of the winelands in ‘the Fairest Cape’.

With its breathtaking position on a 160-hectare working wine estate in the picturesque Paarl/Franschhoek Valley just 40 minutes from Cape Town and the international airport, Santé Winelands is dedicated exclusively to a health and wellness lifestyle.  We are also proud to be the first destination to be incorporated into the Southern Sun Collection portfolio.

Steeped in history, the local area begs to be explored, including the nearby villages of Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch, each with Cape Dutch homesteads, cask lined cellars and fine dining restaurants.

Visit one of the many world-class wine farms in the region to enjoy a wine & cheese tasting, or play a round of golf on one of the world-renowned golf courses, including the Jack Nicklaus designed Pearl Valley and David Frost designed Boschenmeer.

In the surrounding mountains visitors can hike, mountain bike or enjoy bird watching.  Fishing, canoeing, local arts and crafts excursions are also available and trips to Cape Town can be arranged easily and conveniently.

The rooms are stylish and luxurious, with marble finishes, deluxe bathrooms, full cupboards and writing desks. Each room is equipped with a butler station, and 24-hour in-room dining service is offered.  Satellite TV channels and DVD’s are also available. Beds are turned down in the evening and rooms are serviced twice daily.

The bathrooms are complete with separate showers and baths.  Marble vanities include a personal hidden hairdryer and a full range of internationally acclaimed cosmetics and toiletries are provided for guests to pamper themselves with. Make-up mirrors, Mediterranean-style bathrobes and slippers complete the luxurious feel of the rooms.

Telephones are situated in the bathrooms, at bedsides and on each writing desk. Each telephone has a voice-mail, which can be personalised, and a wake-up call facility. 

Santè Winelands is committed to the Tobacco Products Control Amendment Act to protect the rights of non-smokers and children and also to assist the State to reduce expenditure on tobacco-related illnesses. All rooms and indoor public areas are therefore non-smoking.

The following extra amenities and services are available on request: foam and feather pillows, additional bedding, sewing kits, shoe cleaning services, child minders, pool towels and flower arrangements.

MANOR ROOMS (10) 58M² EXCLUDING THE PATIO

Located in the Main hotel, on the first floor are ten generous suites, each luxuriously decorated in rich earth tones and textures, 4 poster baths, and Romeo and Juliet balconies overlooking the Piazza, water features and the surrounding Winelands scenery.  All Manor House rooms are fitted with air conditioning, under floor heating; satellite TV, DVD player, music channels, internet and mini bar.

SPA SUITES (39) 73M² EXCLUDING THE PATIO

These suites are in clusters of 4 adjoining the hotel and creating a village feel. Surrounded by water features and herb gardens, they overlook the vineyards, olive groves and mountains. Special care was taken in the design of these large rooms, with sandstone floors and walls painted in earth tones. Separate bathrooms with huge tubs and showers for two set the scene for a romantic getaway. All Spa Suites have their own private patio, fireplaces and cosy window seats, and the rooms are fitted with air conditioning, under floor heating, satellite TV, DVD, music channel, internet facilities and mini bar.

VINEYARD VILLAS (7) EACH EN SUITE BEDROOM 55M²

The ultimate in luxury and style - your own double storey Villa situated on the estate, ideal for a group of friends or family get-together or even a corporate team building weekend away. Four en-suite bedrooms, spacious reception room, lounge/dining room, outside terrace, swimming pool and kitchen - the full complement of services at your fingertips. The ideal base for longer stays to scout the Winelands, with a choice of self-catering or hotel dining.  The hotel can arrange the services of a private butler and chef for the duration of your stay.  All Vineyard Villas are fitted with air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD, music channel, fridges, dish washing machines and laundry facilities.

SANTé WELLNESS CENTRE

It is the philosophy of Santé to encourage a fresh start to a healthier, more joyful way of living. Our tranquil, non-invasive, welcoming environment makes Santé Winelands the ideal retreat for celebrities, guests recovering from surgery, illness, physical or mental exhaustion or for people simply seeking privacy, peace and quiet away from the maddening crowds. For those who merely want to be spoilt and pampered, the boutique-hotel type service is the ultimate in luxury.

The Wellness Centre has 6 Massage rooms, 4 treatment rooms, 1 Chakra Bath and 2 Vinotherapy® baths.  Specialised rooms have been set aside for the Vichy Shower and Aromatherapy tub. All spa treatments are available daily from 08h00 to 19h00.

Santé Wellness Centre is privileged to be the only spa in South Africa and significantly only the second in the world to offer Vinotherapy®, a unique signature treatment using grape products such as crushed grape seeds, and skins left over after the wine-making process.

The Vinotherapy® treatment starts off with the Shiraz Body Scrub, utilising crushed grape seeds combined with organic essential oils, to rid the skin of dead cells, followed by a Vichy shower. The Chardonnay Cocoon Wrap, an application of crushed grapes and skins, adds to the rejuvenating anti-oxidant process to leave the skin feeling smooth and moisturised. This makes the skin receptive to the Massage Cap Classique, a 30-minute waterbed massage. The Vinotherapyâ grand finale takes place in the Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Casket Bath with colour, sound and magnetic field therapy, set in a custom built ‘wine cellar’. Sound is transmitted through the water and the magnetic fields improve circulation and increase oxygenation of cells to relieve pain, and enhance recovery from sports injuries and surgery. The treatment concludes with the guest resting on specially designed heated chaise lounges in the Tranquillity Room.

In addition to the treatment rooms, male and female locker rooms equipped with showers and lockers are available.  The boutique gym offers both cardio-vascular equipment and weights and is open to guests 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Guests staying over at the hotel enjoy complementary access to the wellness centre with its state-of-the-art spa facilities including: a unique indoor hydro-pool with liquid sound, reclining airbed, multi-height body jets, neck massage and counter current resistance swimming; a private sundeck; fully equipped gymnasium; sauna; laconium; steam room; Jacuzzi; three snail shaped multi-experience showers that offer a variety of different options: from tropical rain to mountain mist while aroma essences are released to enhance the unique experience. 

ACTIVITIES

Access to the fully equipped gymnasium is free for guests to enjoy. A personal trainer is also available to guide you in your workouts and give you a complete fitness assessment. Pilates, Tai Chi and Yoga classes are available at an additional fee while Aquacise and Morning Fitness Trails can be enjoyed free of charge. Fly-fishing, canoeing, horse riding, jogging, and walking and mountain bike trails take you past some of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Golf is available at several nearby golf courses. 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

The hotel’s fine dining restaurant, Sommelier, offers Gourmet cuisine, while the wellness restaurant is focused on providing guests with healthy, scrumptious detox meals. All dishes are prepared using on the freshest ingredients, sourced locally as well as from our own organic fruit, vegetable and herb gardens. Openness and beauty is key – and all windows and French doors overlook the mountains and lake. Santé Winelands cuisine is both fresh and innovative.

The restaurant is open daily for breakfast from 07h00 and lunch from 12h30.

 The Terrace alongside the restaurant may be used for breakfast, luncheons or cocktail functions. 

IN-ROOM DINING

24-hour room service is available at the Santé Winelands Hotel and Wellness Centre.  The menu is displayed in the Guest Services Directory located on the writing desk of each guestroom.  Special requests such as picnic baskets can be arranged with prior notice.

Express breakfast cards are placed on the beds each night during turndown and can be left on the guest door for collection by the In-Room Dining staff.

Guests are responsible for the delivery of any food and beverage items ordered.  A tray charge of R20 is added to each delivery.  

REFRESHMENT CENTRE

Each guestroom is equipped with a butler station and a mini bar.  The Butler station provides a kettle, ice-bucket, coasters, assorted drinking glasses, coffee, sugar, assorted teas, bottle opener, spoons, rusks and a honest bar price list.  All items are replenished daily by the Housekeeping staff.  Any items requested that are n.  Any items requested that are not in the Honest Baquested that are not in the Honest Baquested that are not in the Honest Bar may be supplie not in the Honest Bar may be supplied by In-Room Dining. 

THE CELLAR

 The Hotel has a wine cellar that boasts a wlar that boasts a wide range of exquisite wines from award-winning wineries within a 9km radius from the hotel.  Wine tastings can be arranged with prior notice. 

ISLAND

 The island is accessed via an old-fashioned wooden bridge and can take up to 45 guests for standing cocktails.  The surrounding views of the Franschoek valley are spectacular. 

HALAAL & KOSHER CATERING

 The hotel does not have the special kitchen requirements to produce Kosher or Halaal meals.  Special dietary requests such as Kosher and Halaal can be catered for with prior notice through the use of an outside supplier.  (24 hours notice is required) Santé - to your health!
