Personal Impression
This is a wonderful 5 star boutique bed and breakfast retreat in a beautiful suburb of Bishops Court in Cape Town with incredible views of Table Mountain and great rooms. The Bishops Court features an open bar policy and you can help yourself to the well stocked bar.  Your host and owner Paul Le Roux makes you feel right at home from the minute you walk in the door. He will also be delighted to personally give you a tour of the surrounding areas. The grounds feature a swimming pool,  tennis courts and a delightful garden area. Internet, fax, copy services and laundry are available. I highly recommend this property. Each and every room is inviting, beautifully decorated and even the smallest room is delightful. The trees and lushness of the area makes this retreat very appealing.

Location of the hotel
Bishops Court is a 15 minute drive from downtown Cape Town in a very upscale and beautiful neighborhood of Bishops Court, that is often referred to as the most exclusive neighborhood in Cape Town.  A chauffeured van is available at about 50% the cost of a taxi to take you where you need to go. While we were there we went down to the waterfront and arranged to be picked up at 9:00 pm. It worked beautifully and the driver is delightful, full of energy and a very happy person - he lives on the property. Airport transfers can be arranged. The sunset and sunrise over Table Mountain was spectacular.

Bishops Court only has five rooms, each differently decorated all and very luxurious.  All the rooms have air conditioning, under floor heating, heated towel racks, Satellite TV and DVD with a complimentary library of movies and a complimentary mini bar and safe.  There are also two beautifully appointed suites that offer pure indulgence. The Bishops Suite is the perfect honeymoon retreat complete with an outdoor Jacuzzi in a private courtyard.  There is also a balcony overlooking Table Mountain.  The newest addition to the house is a brand new suite that we stayed in during our visit.  It is called the Bishops View room and has a private patio and balcony overlooking the grounds and Table Mountain. Very comfortable suite with a luxurious bathroom.  Special tile work is featured in the shower that is quite unique and was made by a man from a local township. Both these huge suites offer every luxury. The remaining rooms also feature wonderful furnishings and delightful bathrooms. These rooms will  delight the most discerning of travelers. Food & Wines
Breakfast: The breakfast is wonderful. Starting with all types of fresh fruits, cereals, delicious breads with homemade jams. They offer two egg dishes each day.  We had a choice of a full English breakfast with tomato, potato and sausage or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.  Dinner:  If you wish to eat at The Bishops Court their  chef will cook a made to order dinner. You select the menu the day before and then relax and have a truly gourmet meal.  Of course the wines and spirits are included at Bishops Court so this also makes the dinner about the same as if you went to a regular restaurant.
