Personal Impression
Lobengula offers a traditional African experience in an adults only lodge.  This is a large lodge when you consider there are only five rooms on the property.  The plants, trees and flowers at Lobengula are particularly attractive. 

Accommodations
The rooms at Lobengula are very spacious.  Each room is slightly different but all have a decor of dark woods and overstuffed cushioning - very comfortable. The bathrooms are also large and finished in  light colors.  The Chiefs suite is very large with an additional plush living area with big fireplace. The rooms are accommodated in terra cotta type buildings with thatched roofs and separated by attractive wooden walkways. Nothing is too far but there is a definite feeling of space.  One would imagine there would be at least twice as many guests as are accommodated at Lobengula.

Public Rooms, Spa and Dining
The pool area is in the center of the complex and has expansive decking and chairs around the pool with a bar at one end. This is a focal point of the complex.  A pleasant place to have a pre-dinner cocktail. The public rooms are full of comfortable furnishings and carry through the classic African decor.  The dining room table can seat all 10 guests at one seating of course and I am sure this is the scene of many a memorable meal. The expansive decking in the bar area is also large enough to accommodate three times the guests that stay at Lobengula. This is definitely a luxury of space for just 10 guests. Of course dinners will be a special event and as with all Shamwari properties they are inclusive of local wines and spirits.
