Day 1: USA or Canada / Cape Town, South Africa
Board your flight to Cape town.

Day 2: Cape Town
In Cape Town you are met by an Abercrombie & Kent repres representative and transferred to your hotel. Tonight enjoy a festive welcome dinner. Victoria & Alfred Hotel D

Day 3: Cape Town
Drive through Cape Town to Table Mountain for a panoramic view of both city and sea. Continue to the Castle of Good Hope, South Africa’s oldest building. Next, re-live a time when freed slaves, artisans, merchants and immigrants communed as you visit the District Six Museum. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Victoria & Alfred Hotel B L

Day 4: Cape Town / Franschhoek
Tour the Cape Peninsula and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, home to the rare bontebok. Visit endangered African penguins at Boulders Beach before stopping in Kalk Bay for a harborside lunch. Day 5: Franschhoek

Day 6: Franschhoek / Cape Town / Kruger National Park
Board a morning flight to Hoedspruit and your lodge, nestled in the heart of “Big Five” country. Thornybush Main Lodge B L D

Day 7: Kruger National Park
Thornybush Game Reserve is home to more than 300 species of bird. Watch elephant along the Monwana River and have “close encounters of the rhino kind” in the bush. Thornybush Main Lodge B L D

Day 8: Kruger National Park / Johannesburg
Following your morning game drive, fly to Johannesburg, the commercial capital of the country. The Grace Hotel B

Day 9: Johannesburg / Victoria Falls
Fly to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and transfer to your hotel. This afternoon glide lazily down the Zambezi River on a sundowner cruise looking for hippo, elephant or buffalo coming to drink at the water’s edge. Victoria Falls Safari Lodge B D

Day 10: Victoria Falls / Johannesburg / USA or Canada
This morning visit the famous Victoria Falls, one of the great natural wonders of the world, for a view of the thundering, crashing waters. The surrounding rainforest is home to abundant birdlife as well as bushbuck, monkey, baboon and mongoose. Later today your journey comes to an end as you are transferred to the airport to board your flight to Johannesburg, where you connect to your homebound flight. B
